I think this is a custom thing. Where did you get the shades?

The current curtains look like an old canvas color in one view and lavender in another on my monitor.

I'd probably spring for ripplefold or pinchpleat from The Shade Store. They have various white options and you can sample in advance.

Have some white linen curtains made to match your slipcovers.

I think light filtering flat panels instead of gathered sheers on rods would better complement the modern aesthetic of the fireplace wall.

beckysharp- It's supposed to be a greige but is more lavender, especially in the evening with the lights on. The top picture is just a little brighter than they actually are.

From what I remember, I've purchased from Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Macy's. Pretty sure there was a Bed, Bath and Beyond drape in there as well. I don't remember the colors as this was over the course of two years.

palimpsest - They're closer to a washed out lavender. Thanks for the recommendation- I'm going to order some samples today.

Anglo- I think your idea to match my slipcovers is the best. If I can't make ready made work, I'll go to my local window treatment store with a slip cover so they can match up the color. I want sheer linen drapes.

Elle- I love the idea of flat panels but I don't think it's going to work with my two dogs. They like to get under the drapes and sit up against the deck doors. I need something that's pliable.

Hi. Your original question asks to match the shade...which I took to be the shade on the window. But then you and Pal seem to be speaking about the drapes.

So which is it that you want to match?

The color of the shade is what I want to match. That's why I want samples of tbe drapes, to see the colors in person before committing

If you read her very first sentence, she says "I'm looking for sheer drapes as close as possible to the color of the sheer shades pictured."

So she's looking for sheers (sheer curtains) the color of the sheer shades.

Have you considered buying one white sheer linen panel and some boxes of dye? It would involve playing around with several shades to achieve the right color and shade, but might be easiest in the long run.

My question wasn't directed at you shadylady. So no need for the snark.

Ellie, I suggest Half Price Drapes as you can get samples of most. This one is called Antique Lace:https://www.halfpricedrapes.com/signature-antique-lace-french-linen-sheer-curtains-drapes.html

This one is Cinder Gray. They look a little dark, but with the light shining through, may brighten up. This one is more sheer though https://www.halfpricedrapes.com/open-weave-cinder-grey-linen-sheer.html

I like these in both Ash Gray and Barley: https://www.halfpricedrapes.com/ivory-heavy-faux-linen-curtain.html

Anyway, poke around the website and get some samples....I've ordered from them before and been pleased.

Pennydesign, I was confused about that, too, given the discussion of the current drapes.

Where are your slipcovers from?
