Yes these can be kept small with pruning yet still produce fruit.

I really I wish I lived somewhere that would allow Kiwi's to grow, consider yourself lucky :)

You do live where they can be grown. I'm in Saint Clair Shores and I have half a dozen of these hardy kiwis and they produce well. They would produce better if I properly pruned them (but to be honest I'm not great at pruning vines like these)
