old opener. has yellow reset button. we lost the 1 remote for it and i tried to reprogram it with a few other chamberlin remotes we had laying around till i found out it would only work with the proper freq remote. well we did finally find the old remote and it works fine but now the door opens randomly? once a day?

all i did was push yellow reset button to try and get 2nd remote to work. it never did since it is a different frequency i assume. the original remote works. i have no idea why pushing the reset button now results in a random open issue?

manual says hold reset button for 6 sec and led light will go off. mine does not. I don't know how old my remote is or if it is original to opener. it has the 1-10 keys inside the remote but the opener does not have the 1-10 keys. if that makes a difference

i changed the position of the 10 keys and pushed the yellow reset button and the remote does operate the opener. with a new code? vs the previous code? the door has not opened randomly in the last 12 hrs.

my 2nd door has a sears opener which has a red reset button. i have a spare remote for that door and it works. if i replace my current opener with another opener that has a red button, will both doors open when i push my remote? i think you push the red reset button to sync your remote? what happens when i do that? will other opener respond also?
