IDK, maybe your floor man could make a suggestion. Maple can be hard to stain, I tried to change the stain on my maple cabinets and they didn't want to take the stain at all.

If it is oak...you better check what type of oak you are installing. Red oak can turn pink-ish and is a nightmare to deal with when you have orange trim and pink floors (the gray laminate would have been better).

If you work with white oak, you can either go SUPER LIGHT and natural or you can work with a mid-tone that matches the darker grain in the trim.

A well versed flooring professional can get this done without much effort.

You are getting closer. You need a floor that is ROUGHLY 50% orange. The floor you are showing is only 10% orange. You need much, much, much more orange in your floor to get this to work.

If you won't change the banister, you are locked into the orange/brown colour range. Sorry but that's the deal. You are getting there, but you need a few more degrees of orange before you are ready to purchase.
