I have a window like this one in my master bedroom. I’d put Roman shades and panels on it except that it’s the only place in the room for my double dresser. This means I can’t reach over it to open and close shades easily. Right now I have the PO’s curtain panels on a rod and I slide them open and closed for privacy. I think a single shade or blind across the whole width will be very heavy to operate. Any suggestions?

The room has a repro Sheraton four post campaign bed and chippendale style mahogany tall chest and dresser. Walls are pale lilac, may be repainting. There is another conventional double hung window on the other side of the room that will also need a treatment.
