kitchen dilemma

I purchased black stainless steel appliances by Samsung and want a grey kitchen. will the dark appliances overpower light grey kitchen cabinets and flow better with dark grey cabinets? I also want either gold hardware and faucet but am considering rose gold. the backsplash will be white and countertops will be some sort of white/ grey marble. the sink wpuld be a white farmhouse sink. what would look better? here are pictures i found as inspiration

I like the look of Samsung’s black stainless appliances, in the end decided not to get them because I thought they would stand out too much against my white cabinets, also if I had to replace something going forward it might be impossible to match and also because the induction didn’t come in black stainless and I wanted a Bosch dishwasher. If you don’t want them to stand out, then it might be a good idea not to go too light with the cabinets. Looking at your photos, I personally am not a fan of rose gold with gray.

We have Samsung stainless steel appliances that don't show fingerprints. I really like them and they would blend well with your light grey kitchen. Also would not select rose gold.... I wonder how durable though finishes are.

I caution you against the black stainless appliances. I don't have a personal client who has purchased them, but my appliance supplier has told me that many have reported that they easily scratch.

Also, consider a few years down the line, if one appliance needs to be replaced, will you still be able to get that finish? Don't know.

I'd stick with stainless steel. It is timeless and will always be available. It will also look more seemless with your light grey cabinets.

As above stainless is so easy to replace down the road . That faucet looks expensive so if you are into changing it every time the new thing appears go for it I gues but to me agray and white kitchen is such a neutral the color can be added and taken simply by changing some accessories, I would stick with stainless in a faucet too. That first would be apain to keep clen with the way it is constructed too

thanks for the feedback! so far it looks like rose gold is not the right choice which I really love but I guess I can do it in the bedroom instead. I understand what everyone is saying about the original stainless always being available but I have already purchased the black stainless steel and that's really the only thing my husband wanted to pick out so I would not be able to swap it out. he left the rest up to me. here are pics of what was already purchased. so if I go with the gold, would I not do a gold faucet? looks like you guys are saying to do the silver. if I did gold, would the dark grey look better or the light grey cabinets and what color should my wall be? thanks for the feedback!

I think the dark gray cabinets would work well with the black stainless. I think the rose gold or gold would look great with this combination.

The caution is that you might grow tired of it. If you do and don't mind spending the $ changing it out, then go for it.

I would choose very light colors for the countertop and backsplash.

thanks, my husband would not want me to change the faucet or hardware at a later time. what I pick now is what I get which is probably why I am having a hard time making a decision. he is in construction and is doing all the work himself so I'm positive he will not want to do more work later.

I love those appliances! Absolutely gorgeous! Now, my 2 cents: I think you will have a nicer looking kitchen if you approach it "holistically". Is the kitchen open to another room? Is the rest of your house trendy and what style is it? Do you prefer high contrast (vibrant) or low contrast (calm) environment in your home? Once you define the "feel" or ambiance you want your space to have, you may find the choices easier to make.

We just bought a fixer upper so the rest of the house has not been touched. the first thing we tackled was the kitchen. We knocked down the wall dividing the living room and kitchen so you now walk into both rooms as soon as you enter the home. looks way bigger and the house is not big. living room and kitchen prob average size. We are putting an island dividing the 2 rooms. I'm going for a chic farmhouse vibe with blue accents in the home. We are painting our house a shade of grey (but have not picked the color yet) and more than likely painting the door navy blue. also adding a breakfast nook in the corner of our kitchen and would like to add blue somehow.

I would go with what you love and that seems to be the gold. If you choose the right style of faucet and hardware I believe you will have a real WOW factor in there to stand out among the more subdued colors.

I'd consider white counters, backsplash and even a white island to break up all the grey.

You can change color anytime you want with art, etc. So, I highly recommend sticking with a more neutral, timeless faucets and hardware.
