I guess I should add that finishes I am considering are gold and silver tones, off white, or a brushed metal like the kitchen handles. ... I know, I haven't really narrowed it down.

Cecile - since you have an open space, you want things that coordinate but don't match. Have you looked at lightingdirect.com - I like their filters, as you can narrow down for size and scale &/or budget and explore what is available in different finishes. Lighting is pretty personal, so it would be best if you can make more progress- and bring back links to stuff for sale that you love for us to see how it works together.

One note is that the chandelier is really feminine and a bit old world antique where the drum is very modern (i love the drum). You can certainly mix styles but it may be that you want to consider if the overall style of the place wants to be more traditional or if you want the lighting to bring up the modern quotient so you get a transitional result.

Try narrowing down your search to 2 or 3 fixtures.

This is great advice. Ok, so I do really like the gold drum for the living room nook area. Do you think if I choose that fixture that then I have to choose gold everywhere else... because I dont know if I am prepared to do that. I know they have smaller pendants that match that drum that I could do over the island... but then I am stuck for my main dinning room chandelier. ... my husbands advice is to choose that one first and then pick everything else to match with it.
As for my style, I like country modern. Lots of wood tones and neutrals, but hints of metals are nice. So I guess my main question is a chandelier to match with that gold drum. Thanks!!!!

You don't necessarily have to match all your lighting within these rooms and limit to the same collection or finish color. Gold is of course a neutral and will blend well with mostly any finish surrounding this. It also would look great and match the warm tones of the antiqued wooden style chandelier you posted.

We got lites I love the second pictured light, the zoe collect pendant. Have you seen the antique linen finish with the motive persian white... do they look similar? Also I was looking at a few of the maison persian white... are those to collections from the same company? (What I really want to know is if the two persian whites are the same)

So glad you liked the items we suggested! We actually have a Persian White chandelier, and Zoe Collection large chandelier in our showroom-- so we have seen the difference in finishes. The Zoe Collection is a more white-washed finish compared to the Persian White color. The Persian White has darker undertones, and a bit more distressed.

Regarding the Persian White finishes on several collections featured on our website-- yes! All the same brands, so if you like a few Persian White items and are worried if they will all blend/match colors, they absolutely will!
