I'm guessing Ikea doesn't cut it then? Their new Farlov line appears to be well-made, and rather handsome with the charcoal velvet slipcovers ... and you can't beat the price, as always.

I really like this sofa. This company changed the name but it’s the same one I purchased and it seems to be very well made. The manufacturer is Klaussner furniture and they have different styles. You can find all the ones they make on JossandMain by typing in Klaussner into the search. JossandMain is a Wayfair company but less expensive. The price has come down since I purchased it and now they allow you to customize the color which wasn’t an option at the time. It didn’t matter since I wanted the plain off white one anyways. The cushions are firm and keep their shape well but still comfortable. The back pillows are down so they are squishy but still look put together. The fabric is a heavy linen and not cheap. Here is a photo from the holidays for an idea of it. It was around $2600 but would have been double that at Pottery Barn so although it’s not as cheap as IKEA it seems to be as well made as Pottery Barn but less expensive. The slipcover is removable and can be machine washed. I actually looked at the Pottery Barn basic sofas before buying this one and the fabric seems to be just as nice if not better. I realize this is an old post. But I have had a Rowe slipcovered sectional for 11 years. It is a velvet slipcover and has been washed MANY times per year. It was dry clean only. I would wash it in warm water and then dry it till it was almost dry and put them back on. No issues. Btw, I have 3 boys that are all now 15 years old now. So, they have worked this sectional over in the last 11 years. It's still in pretty god shape. The sectional is going to go upstairs in their game room when we move it out of our living room. I am online right now deciding if I will be buying a sectional or a sofa/loveseat/chair in Rowe or Robin Bruce because I have loved mine so much!
