To create more interest and balance, I would consider a gallery wall that is more free-form in its design/placement and frame size/linear shape, center the grouping on the wall, and then add an end table to provide some balance.

I agree with the looser arrangement ideas, and given the height and prominence of the wall, and the fact that the couch is quite neutral, the arrangement should be centered on the wall. (If the couch were very showy/contrasty and the ceiling was lower, it would make sense to center on the couch.)

don't like gallery walls with all the same size frames. Use different sizes and frames to put some personality
