Do not put a bench against a wall in a living room. Benches are for entry ways or the foot of a bed. If you need something in that space for guests to set things on, then put a small round table there.

The wing chair is floating. Pull it in closer to the center of the room. Is it one of two? If not, can you place it on the other side of the room ( on the rug) and use the bench under the window. Another thought. The foyer looks lovely...room for the bench opposite the chest? Place a large standing mirror when the bench is presently positioned.

Put the bench in front of the fireplace. It will look great! And yes, pull the accent chair onto the rug. The end table next to sofa arm is sticking out into the hallway; try turning it.

As for the wall area where the bench is now…no need to put hang something on it…every space doesn’t need to be covered. What I do think would add to your hall is a runner.
