"JACCOMAG" - a J&P test rose from several yrs ago. Never got marketed that I'm aware of. This was their "code name" that the tag had on it. They quit putting code names on the test roses a few yrs after that. I wish they still did the test roses. They were fun. I have quite a lot of them that I've gotten over the yrs. Some ended up being marketed, and others did not. This one is really quite beautiful. Not sure why they dumped it tho. Based on the code name, I'm guessing one of its parents must've been COLOR MAGIC.

Beth, you have some stunning Js.

When Harry and David owned J&P we would get a dozen or more excess bare root roses at the end of the season. Sometimes they were the experimentsl roses, most were numbered . I never got any myself but my friend got several. It was always fun to see what she ended up with.

I used to take visitors on tours of the test garden. One of my favorites was a really pretty yellow rose. Most of the time test roses got yanked pretty early on. But that yellow rose stayed and stayed and stayed . Then one day I noticed that it had been named. They named it Welcome Home .

What a great collection of J roses! I love Julie Newmar, Just Peachy, Joshua Bradley and Johnnie Walker especially today. I'm so fickle, I might have a totally new selection of favorites tomorrow, lol.

Joyfulness, my only J. This one is still a newbie in a gallon pot.

Lovely blooms, every one. A few newbies in Beth's "collection" too.

We have a huge bed of Julia Child in one of our parks, Blooms early and late and I'm always amazed at the change of colours.

    My "J's"--

Jeri Jennings (HM)--I keep moving her, trying to find the right spot for her. Hopefully the present one will work so that she can settle down to extending her roots and increasing her blooms.

Jubilee Celebration (Austin)--love the touch of yellow at the base

Joy is the only "J" I have.

    Lovely roses everyone!

Here are just two from me.

Jude the Obscure is now starting his fifth year and is one of my largest shrub roses. He has arching canes and grows to about 7-8 ft tall. He blooms a lot, even in winter. One of the most fragrant Austins.

Jean Giono looks like a dahlia. I got him last year and he's still in a pot. He's an own root from RU and only bloomed a couple of times, but looking forward to seeing him develop in 2018.

    Looking forward to spring!
