Off our family room is a patio, which has a partially covered section as you can see in the pictures. The current ceiling is drywall and as you can see isn't holding up too well to the outside elements, so I'm replacing it with some wide tongue and groove pine. Given the brown/tan siding along with the white trim boards, would you lean more towards a darker or lighter stain color? I was considering a Dark Walnut or Espresso (Minwax Stain Colors).

Thoughts or suggestions??
