Thanks Dave! I just plucked one to use in a seafood stew and took a pic...it is very very juicy almost as much as a meyer....very sour like a lime, but with a different flavor.

If they have the same tartness as key lime, then I'd consider using them for lime pie.

Does it produce fruits like a lemon year round?

They probably bear most heavily in late winter through spring but mine does bloom 3-6 times per year. In a more favorable climate such as yours it would probably be ever-bearing.

I did not know Rangpur limes turned orange like that. I always thought they would be green/yellow like most limes. You learn something new everyday.

I think they may work for a key like type pie, but the flavor is not the same. It would be an interesting twist that I may try...mikhail, mine has just bloomed again and set small fruit. I’ve not paid attention to how often it blooms though. Pac has more info. I think it would be a very nice tree to have. You’ll find plenty of uses for the fruit if you treat it as a lime (which it is), and it is certainly pretty.

I actually had one fruit and it was sour like a lemon with a mandarin like mild aftertaste. That was how I learned that I had a Rangpur and not an NZL :)

But my fruit was very very small, smaller than a golf ball, and with a fairly dry skin. My tree is very small and probably is not ready to deliver a quality fruit yet. It has not flowered in 6 months but it was fighting to survive for several months. I received it in bad conditions.

I did not know whether I wanted to keep it or not and now I decided it was a destiny, plus I love the tree already and you gave good reviews. It was an effort to save it and now it looks quite nice with a bunch of new little branches and leaves.
