I like what you started with. Consult with a landscaper for design. Use lots of hydrangeas in blues.

Depending upon the use of this residence, geographic location, driveway location, etc. there are numerous design options for your residence. Feel free to message me to discuss. I have attached an image of using hydrangeas with boxwood and a few trees to anchor the building in the landscape. I would lean toward installing railings as shown with a step down off the end of the porch and boxwoods with bluestone treadstock in lawn approx 6' lengths to announce entry areas.
