I like the lighter color, since you already have dark wood it brightens up the room. Not sure about yellow though. I would take a look at your countertop and backsplash and pick the lightest tan out of that.

Could be the screen monitor but looks too yellow to me. Can you take photos of the space from different perspectives and a close up of tile and countertops.

My monitor isn't showing yellow at all - just goes to show how hard it is to show true color on a computer. On my computer, it looks a pretty cream, which is working with the counter but not perfect with the backsplash - but not bad either.
