I have their 30" wall oven with a microwave stacked above. It works very well but my only complaint is that it takes forever to pre-heat. Can take 20 minutes to heat to 350; more time if higher heat. Caveat: I never use the convection setting, just the regular oven settings so I can't comment on whether that works better. If I had to do it over, pre-heating time would be a question I would ask.

Thermador is a very good brand. I would encourage you to look into a steam oven also. As I recall Thermador makes a very good one.

Thermador just announced new ovens for 2018, so you may want to wait (if possible) to see if the new features (side opening!) are of interest

We've had ours for 5 years. Can't complain. Works great. No issues. LOVE LOVE LOVE the slow close doors (hopefully they still have that feature because it is awesome!).

Just a follow-up since I had posted previously in this thread - we opted against the new Thermador models because of changes made (more sensitive electronics, smaller capacity, lower max temperature, much higher price). We were able to find a previous generation model instead, but were not impressed with the new models.

How do you like your Thermador? Did you get a double oven? thanks!

Hi --- I ended up getting a Miele oven and a Miele steam oven and could not be happier.

We installed Thermador double wall ovens, gas range, and dishwasher about 18 months ago. About a month ago, the glass in the top oven exploded during a self clean. There are three panes of glass in the door and it was the middle glass that exploded. The first warranty service appointment was not available for 3 weeks. When making the appointment I carefully explained which glass had shattered - today the service repair man showed up with the wrong glass. The next available appointment is not for another 8 days.

Very unhappy with Thermador Customer Service - we will be without ovens for almost a month by the time of the next appointment - would not recommend purchasing from Thermador just based on the fact that their warranty service center has no availability! #Thermador
