How high is the ceiling in this room?

I am building a tiny house and your delightful design would be ideal for it IF I can fit it in a slightly lower ceiling (9ft).

It mostly depends on your "user" - his/her height and how they will use the space. 9' is totally fine. For comfort, I would recommend a slightly lower bed and also a lower sofa (something like a fold-out foam sofa or a floor cushion/sofa system that could be rearranged for overnight guests). Thank you for your generous help, Tamara! I like your thoughts about lowering the structure and maybe even cutting down all of the dimensions, except for the mattress area. This is a tiny guest house that is only 10 x 12 feet, but we have managed to figure out the bathroom, and kitchen with no problem. I do not want a second floor loft and your design, proportionally reduced, should work well. Again, many thanks.
