I don't have any, but I usually see them laid down for a hurricane, and braced in place if they can't be wheeled to a spot where there's no possibility of their rolling around in a storm.

I agree with writersblock. The liability to the condo would be huge if they didn't take the extra step of bracing the ceramic pots or having a method to brace during hurricanes. Look at all the (moved by the wind) vehicles and trees and other missiles that happen with hurricane winds, not to mention the tornadoes that frequently accompany hurricanes in spots.

There are a lot of variables not discussed here that will effect the pots' weight and ability to catch the wind (and therefore stability), including

material pot is made of (concrete would be quite heavy vs. extruded foam would be light)

pot shape (wider base will be more stable)

planting medium

Plants (something tall would be more likely to be blown over vs low-growing plants)

They should do the foam/stone look pots then they can use a hand truck to move them indoors for storms etc.
