We have a modern/contemporary style, open space living room with a concrete wall as our feature/TV wall. Currently the raw concrete looks a bit unfinished, especially at the top where you can see water stains. I was expecting something a bit uniform and without all the water stains.

Our builder suggested us to paint/stain it. I think painting would cover up all the interesting characteristics of concrete. I'm also not sure how stain will work on concrete. The last time we stained the doors, it was pretty tricky and took quite some time/efforts to find something we really like.

Is there a finish coat of any kind we can use or any treatment we can do to make it look better? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
