PSA : Transplanting :

last modified: 8 years ago

While I wait for jack frost to abide over, be curious, do any of ya'll do anything special as precaution when transplanting or just digging in general.

Case in point. Last spring, I put the transplant shovel in the ground into the soil & went all in, with a heave on the footpad of the shovel. There ended up being a large rock under the shovel, which in turn caused this heavy metal shovel ricochet of vibration/judder up into the offending leg that was being used to step on it.

Simple right ? Whatever that upshock of shudder that was sent through the shovel, I literally was limping for about 3 1/2 - 4 weeks straight !

I learned my lesson. Anytime I plan to do as such moving forwards, I'm stepping on the shovel really slow......
