We are getting our kitchen re-done and we are struggling with lighting and wall paint. We have light gray cabinets almost closer to white. We are going to have 2 pendant lights over each window. We don't know how to pick pendant lights at all. I've read you should match the hardware of the pendant light to the knobs that are going on the kitchen cabinets. We also have 2 flush lights on the ceiling that we need to purchase. Does the pendant lighting and flush lighting have to match in some way?

Paint color. I was looking at a blueish gray color but my wife is not sold. Any ideas? I feel like the lighting and wall color will really make the room so we want to make the correct decision.
