On second look...my cell phone camera just continues to amaze me...I can see the tiniest hairs on that itsy bitsy baby leaf in the foreground. Couldn't see that with the naked eye without a magnifying glass.

If I ever need to check the soil or leaves for bugs, I'll just use my cell phone :-)

That is EXACTLY what you should expect when you plant a piece of leaf! Glad you tried it! Congratulations!!!! Rosie

I did get 4 decent-sized babies potted up from the 2 stemmed leaf parts I put down, so I didn't need to keep these teeny babies. The tips take longer to grow but it's very good to know that if you only get a couple of cherished leaves, you can double or triple your odds of growing something by cutting them apart.

And these leaves are special -- they may grow up to be the first Fantasy plants I have.

And I know what you're going to say about me keeping them for a swap...but I am Absolutely Out of Space around here!

Look at this...every inch of my greenhouse shelf is taken up now. When these outgrown their little greenhouses, they're just POL.
