bathroom vanity

So I’ve always known that I needed a different vanity when I bought my house 3 to 4 years ago. I knew I needed something with more storage and of course a double sink.
I would like to buy that vanity now but my husband thinks that we need to wait until we could do a complete bathroom remodel.... but I’m not going to win the lotto anytime soon. Lol
Plus we can always take the vanity out and reinstall it when we could afford the entire bathroom to be redone.
Has anyone just replace their vanity in the meantime?
In the long run I obviously want to get a smaller shower and have a freestanding tub near the windows where it’s just wasted space.
But I’m guessing a complete bathroom remodel is going to be closer to $20,000.

It can certsinly be done, and has been done. Some things to consider... the space doesnt look big enough for a double vanity? If you remove that oversized shower, would it give you more room for your vanity and would you want a larger vanity in that case? If you get a larger vanity, you will have to redo some plumbing, and you’ll likely want a new light too. When do you think you’ll be remodeling? Will your tastes and wants/needs change between now and then? And how much can you live with what you have?

Please measure out your space carefully. Do you have room for a freestanding tub and a shower? It doesn’t look like it from the photos, but photos are misleading. And as Steve said, the dimensions of proposed changes would affect your vanity choice.

So I am thinking of redoing the bathroom when I Win the lotto (fantasy 5) if it can’t be done, then I need a new house....my 5 year old daughter is already asking me to get out of her bathroom (where all my stuff is)
