I’m a A-Level student studying. Product design and I’m basing my project on helping people in the kitchen wondering if anyone had any idea?

This is mostly a US based website, so you might want to explain what A-Levels are. The US school system is very different.

When I did mine, we had no subjects like Product Design, just basic stuff like Chemistry, Math, Geography, etc!

Come back with some ideas and we could maybe help -- but coming up with the subject for your project is your job. If you're studying A-levels, you should be able to do that yourself.

As the product is for the elderly and those with dexterity issues I have come up with various handle designs and easy jar openers as it pains their hands to open a jar the usual way however this area is asking others for ideas and implementing them into your existing designs

You’ll have to forgive me Luke as I’m not intirely certain what you’re asking. But if I had to guess, you’re looking for specific items in our actual projects or maybe in our own kitchens that could be considered hard to use for elderly or those with dexterity issues? Is your project requirement specifically looking for outsider input? Or something you’ve decided to do as part of your project? The more info you can provide, the better results you’ll get...

A levels are the British equivalent of grade 12 papers - Luke, you need to do your own homework. There's a whole lot of information available about accessible and handicapped issues, and you should be researching them rather than asking other people to do it for you. Otherwise, how do you learn?

We have to do primary reasearch to “find out what other issues people think are out there in the market” so if you have any ideas about problems within kitchen appliances e.g tin openers etc please let me know

Your best resource is going to be the elderly themselves, and most of them dont use computers to comment on sites like this. Call your grandparents or poll some other elderly people. Otherwise as others have mentioned, i’m sure there is plenty of info already available online if you can find it.

my exam board don’t allow family as primary research in case you tell them what to say they want to see evidence from forums and companies

Go to a senior citizens group and ask them what the issues are . Thats primary research. Asking random strangers on the Internet, without filtering who is responding, is not.

And please study punctuation before writing your paper. I would recommend Strunk and White: The Elements of Style for USA students, but there may be a counterpart text more suitable for UK students.
