Installing Lantern Tile Backsplash in Kitchen & worried about Cleaning

Hi

We are planning to install Lantern Tile Full Back splash( Over the Counter top as well) in the Kitchen and I am worried if it would be too much for Cleaning. We cook regularly.

Below is the tile we are going to install(Mix of that and plain tile) and attached are the pictures of the Kitchen. We currently have the Granite Slab over the counter top and a 6 inch all over. Planning to remove the 6 inch but still debating on the Counter top Slab as it is easy for cleaning purposes.

The tile is very pretty, but probably too much when paired with the counter -- not to mention the potential cleaning needed. I'd recommend something simpler for your kitchen. Maybe you could use the lantern tile in a bathroom in need of interest?

Very pretty tile but I wouldn't want that tile for my kitchen. Too many nooks and crannies for splashes to get stuck in. You can get tile with that shape that are smooth

I think there’d be too many patterns competing for attention. If your heart is set on lantern tile there are some very beautiful ones that have a smooth surface and would look quite nice in your kitchen. Using a grout colour matched to the colour of the tile would further minimize the busy-ness that a lantern tile can create.
