Do you mean you want to cut the limb and a flower at the end, much like a rose.. or do you mean you want to display the petals once fallen? Camellias grow very slow so cutting a branch off could take years to regrow. Most just use the petals in a display

Ah, I see. I guess camellias are not the best candidate for this kind of arranging, but I have seen pictures of it done. Do the flowers form on ends of short side shoots each year? Are there varieties that are known to grow faster and more vigorously?

Camellia japonica usually lasts longer as a cut flower than sasanqua. Also, might try looking at Google images with search terms "camellia flower show" and "camellia floral arrangement"
