I would move the location of the wiring, and put a linear pendant above the dining table.

That's a tough one. The room is a good size but the ceilings aren't terribly high. And right now the location is awkward. I'd be tempted to skip the light fixture.

If you move it over the table, it will be a better spot for your current arrangement but it will limit your ability to rearrange the room at a later time. Very nice room!

I agree with moving the electrical box so it's centered over the table. Maybe something like this?
