Did you just install the mosaic boarder? Or was it there and now you're thinking of changing it? I don't think it goes with the deck and floor tiles.

If you could get more of the floor tile, it would look good on the wall.

This tub has similar tile to yours but a better mosaic colorway.You could get a creamy white tile in a larger format and replace the tile on the deck of the tub and continue up the walls.

What looks off is that the floor and desk tiles are warm and the mosaic around the tub is cool. I would rip out the mosaic and find a warmer tile. Or use the same tile you used on the deck.

No not ripping out the mosaic..really love it! I just wanted advice on the board color. Can't maybe tell by the picture but some of the tiles in the mosaic are the same tone as the marble.

Then make it look intentional. Paint it the darkest gray in the mosaic.

Or maybe a little more medium. Make the surround pick up the overall hue and value of the mosaic.

Very nice tub! If it were me I would match the boards as closely as possible to the beige on the floors and decking of the tub. Doing this will give a more calming affect to the room and will allow the mosaic tiles to stand out more. In other words if you paint the boards gray, they will compete with the mosaic tile. That's just my opinion.
