Garage Game Room Makeover

Our garage game room is in dire need of a makeover. Previous owner painted it the color of a pool. We plan on changing pool colored painted floor to the pictured floor. We wish to keep the pictured loveseart (with matching chair) and two pictured end tables and lamp. May I have paint color suggestions? I will paint tomorrow or the next day and then request help on furniture placement.

I think I would do a shade of white, and maybe an accent wall in red, or another bold color.

Above pic might be a bit formal in décor - but you get the idea.

With a game room - you probably already have a lot of colors going on - so the accent wall may not be necessary.

Either way - a white background would complement the floor. White pictured directly above looks pretty neutral, if not slightly warm - sort of like BM's White Dove.. doesn't seem to have yellow undertones.

White directly above here goes with floor - but it is too cool, a grey white - would not work with your loveseat.

If you can - bring a pillow with you when you go paint shopping - and talk to pros at store. Something like BM's Simply White veers slightly warm - but not 'too' warm - and BM's White Dove is slightly warm without the yellow undertones. Bring a pillow with you. If you use BM - I recommend the Natura line.

Another possibility might be bringing in a white that has some pink undertones - and maybe even all out pink (especially if your loveseat has pink undertones, which it looks like it might - but pics and computer monitors are not always reliable).

Might be a bit heavy on the pink for you - but you get the idea... It warms up the space, though... a lot of fun.

You would want to match a beige carefully to your loveseat - because of the undertones - and depending on the beige - it could also come across as more formal with the flooring, etc. - not sure that you want that vibe for your game room.

Overall - if you want to keep to keep it simple - I would say some sort of shade of white, to sync up with the floor, and a shade that will work with your loveseat.

I love your concept for the room. So much fun!! :)

I am not following why you would need pictures of the rest of the house. This is a game room so it will have a different vibe then the rest of the house. I would like the garage to have a contemporary feel. I have order a nickel track light with 6 lights. The house is decorated in a contemporary/ transitional syle.

I am so bad at picking paint! What do you think of this color either my loveseart and black, white and red floor?

The love seat is almost a pink beige from what I am seeing on my monitor. The Burberry plaid is a yellow beige and would not go with your love seat. You will have to ask SW what the hues of the Kilim Beige are to see if it is a yellow or pink beige.

We don't need to see pics of the rest of the house, but a floor plan with doors, windows, etc. would be nice. Some people keep the same color theme thru the whole house. Not this girl! I think that may be why she is asking about the rest of the house.

I think I would follow freedom's suggestions. I don't think beige is the complement to your black and white flooring. Turquoise, red, yellow, blue. Something bright would look better.

The black and white flooring is very retro and I think more retro style furniture and lamps would go better.

Here are close up pictures with paint samples. I think it way have more of a green undertone than pink but I am honestly terrible with this. Do you see anything that would work? I don't have the floor tile yet but from the photos it looks like a pure or blue white (a total guess on my part).

What about white walls with a red stripe? The furniture feels retro modern - has a Jetson vibe and I would like to work with it. It from the previous owner and while it would not have been my choice it is leather and comfortable. I moved it from the house to the garage. Here are more whites and something that shows the love seat and end table better. Forgive the mess we just had our roof replaced from the hurricane and some of the damaged garage ceiling debris is in the photo as my husband is repairing it today.

I tried to pick colors that would reference the prospective floor. Does anyone see a color that would work or have any suggestions? I am also trying to decide if I should paint the wood tv stand black and add a shelf so it is not an obviously re-purposed tv case. I would love to have some input. I would like to purchase paint today and hopefully knock this out tomorrow. I would also love ideas on hiding the garage door.
