It would be lovely if you put a nice wallpaper above the wainscoting or bead boarding.

Try to box the water tank of the toilet in by duplicating the front part of the basin cabinet. Replace the mirror with full wall mirror (framed if you wish) and then put the wainscoting little bit higher than the top line of the current mirror cabinet

Never! : ) Although because your WC is so tiny I suggest placing your wainscoting/beadboard more than halfway up the walls, and paint it in a shade of white or cream, then use a light wall color above, or even a charming nature inspired wallpaper--with a light background.

I LOVE! the wallpaper Sarah Richardson used in one of her powder rooms! Birds might not be your cuppa tea, but notice how "fresh" the light background and outdoor nature inspired motif makes a small space feel "open."

I love Carolins "Powder Room Renewal" photo #1 above! What I also notice is how all of our photos have windows!!!!! Your does not, which is why I think we're all suggesting light colors for your bead board walls. When you move on to the lighting, I'd suggest bright sparkling (do you like crystal?) sconces and ceiling lights. Moving along, I like the suggestion of a very large--narrow & tall--mirror. Chrome or brushed nickel faucets etc.? then a silver frame, no frame, or even a Venetian style mirror! Yummmy! I don't know your style preferences. Hve Fun!

Ha, ha! The vanity, mirror and picture frames are black. Just added the alarm clock to carry the color to the shelf (with black knobs). . . It's what I had on hand :-)
