I have more empty space in my bedroom and it's really not a problem. What is that chest thing at the foot of the bed? Would it fit on the wall between the doors? You could stack two or three paintings above it to make that area look complete. A small chair might fit in that corner and make the room look more comforable. I'm afraid the curtains are too flimsy to make any kind of statement, and grommets are more of a modern look, not soft enough for your bedroom.

We really need to see every part of this room to have a clear idea of what can be done.
