Yes, do post under design dilemma. For now, a few very low-budget ideas -- a blue door, two door lights (not one), a more prominent house number and some planting. I think I committed an egregious error of horticultural taste in plunking those two mini-trees on each side of the entry, but it's a bit tricky to undo, so I'll simply apologise, okay?

Such a sweet house. I presume there is to be no repainting done yet, and that something is already being done to the front steps? I'd match them to the roof, but darker.

You know I'm not sure but the house was built in the 1940's. This is my daughter's house and I don't know much detail yet. Went with her to look at it and it's adorable inside too! Has lot's of weird features that probably made sense in the 1940's!

I agree, by the way, that the roof is going to need attention. But that's not in the minimum budget category, alas.

A new porch light and numbers will do wonders right away.
