In the meantime, is there a way of finding out the scientific name of the "Pineapple tomatillos"--or which company sold them? I'm seeing different things sold by the same name. Sometimes it's just another name for Physalis pruinosa (standard ground cherry), but it can be used for Physalis pubescens or Physalis ixocarpa. I would definitely be interested in trying P. pubescens after reading this http://mandysgreenhouse.com/heirloom-seeds/ground-cherry/!

I have enabled the message function. I checked the seed packet and it said Physalis ixocarpa - not what you are looking for. I have not tried growing them because I forgot I have these seeds. Now I am learning from you that there are so many varieties of Physalis..... Thank you anyway!!!
