Consider painting just the pedestal base/feet in a metallic finish. As far as color, look for some other finishes in your space such as hardware, curtain rods, light fixtures, and plumbing fixtures to choose a color close to the majority of your finishes. This way you update your table, keep some blonde wood, and maintain cohesion.

It's for dining. I actually moved it.it's in a less cramped place now.I'll take a photo

If you are not trying to obtain more blonde furnishings, I would just keep a pretty tablecloth on it. At some point you may want to paint it if you decide that you prefer a different wood tone.

I think the table is fine, not clunky. The chairs you use may help give it a more updated feel.
