I would love to let you know but when you only get 2 apples it is hard to keep one in a bag till Jan :) Those look like they have kept in pretty good shape, not much wrinkling. Are they stored just in a bag and in the fridge? Any holes for ventilation?

Yes...in the plastic bag as you see it, no holes and closed to a knot but not sealed. The secret is to not open fridge much or not at all ...not to let fresh air in, too much oxygen is not good I think...came to this conclusion over the years..this bag was at relatives who were out of the country and fridge wasn't open much. I'm seriously thinking to have a fridge designated for late apples only.

I am looking forward to my Norkent, I did 3 grafts because if it is a good stored apple I want to make sure I have enough to take us thru the year. All the other apples I am trying are hit and miss which is OK and fun but a reliable apple is needed. They probably taste better than any of the supermarket ones. I stopped buying apples, I have enough that are frozen to make pie and crisp from, I don't need a fresh one to do that, and that seems to be all they are good for.

Sure...most of my apples are in a bottle/juice lol. Still have some in the garden. These Norkent's have very nice taste still..best ever I found, [hardly any difference when picked] since stored in just about the right conditions, mimicking Controlled-atmosphere storage...at least reduced the oxygen levels. They can get bland if not controlled by about Christmas.
