Need help with backyard design ideas.

I have a large backyard and I would like to build something to actually utilize the space. A raised deck wont work, because the bedrooms are all located on the back of the house. I removed a shed where the concrete slab is and trimmed up the trees around it.

I would like to build patio or ground level deck, I also would like to build a fire pit. I left the concrete slab underneath the shed just in case I would use it for something but I have no reservations removing that either.

Any ideas would be great, my budget isn't very large and am pretty handy so I prefer to do as much of my own labor as possible.

Wow your backyard is really big, you can do a lot with it.
building a fire pic sounds really difficult and expensive, but its not, here's a easy DIY brickstone firepit https://www.houzz.com/magazine/how-to-make-a-stacked-stone-fire-pit-stsetivw-vs~535448 and in the first picture of the pic, it shows a bunch of pebbles around it which looks more put together around the pit instead of grass and a more stable place to put chairs. you can but decorative pebbles at lowes or home depot. and decorate the surrounding area of your pit with little plants and trees, and put string lights around the plants for a more expensive look , without being expensive, no landscaping is done without the right lighting, at night you want to walk into your backyard and have it being lit, warm and inviting, not dark and treacherous.

and on the concrete sLab, try puting a gaZebo over it, and hang stringed lights and to connect the firepit and the gazebo take out a path of grass , about a foor and a half wide, and fill it with pebbles, and put in a few stepping stones. along the way put in a few standup outdoor lights. so inexpensive and gorgeous, you can get all of these at places like home depot:) http://www.homedepot.com/Lighting-Fans-Outdoor-Lighting-Landscape-Deck-Lighting-Landscape-Lights/h_d1/N-5yc1vZbvnoZ1z0z3pd/h_d2/Navigation?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053&searchNav=true#/?c=1&1z0z3pd=1z0z3pd those are the lights.

I never considered the lighting so I appreciate the idea, that will definitely play a part in this project. I have experience laying brick and block so I'm not too concerned about building the firepit, but I definitely would like to have something around it other than grass so seating wouldn't be an issue as well as the yard would probably get destroyed.

The gazebo I had thought about before, but I'm more sold on a larger area such as a patio or ground level deck closer to the house, I'm not positive on what to do or where exactly everything should be placed.

There is an easement off the back of the lot that provides vehicle access for the capped garage below so I would like to keep the right side some what open so I can retain that. I would like to plant some more trees in the back, but this will also have to a lot for the garage access.

I will take a couple more pictures on my lunch to show the back of the house as well.
