My husband and I are thinking about using antique glass door knobs from our wedding centerpieces as dummy knobs on our closet doors (bedroom closet, linen closet, coat closet), but before we do that, I wanted to see if anyone has any advice regarding the durability of dummy knobs versus latch knobs. We are getting solid wood doors. Does the ball catch closing mechanism for a dummy knob hold up okay? Thank you!
