So ive been told that, even if i leave the top & bottom open & free of obstruction, i cannot cover the front & sides of a wall mounted mini split. Since the casing of a mini split essentially covers the front & sides, why can i not do this? From what I understand, air moves in thru the top & out the bottom. I do not understand why surrounding the front & sides would be a no-no.
