I am the designer and photographer of this bed and hardscape. Houzz notified me that there was a question about it, but I don't see the question! The pink flowers are a U.S. native wildflower: Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea), a source of the well-known cold remedy. So it definitely has a place in our herb gardens! For more of this Atlanta urban meadow garden, see the project "Lake Claire Meadow Garden" at my Houzz site or my website: www.leahpine.com. Leah Pine, landscape architect & arborist
