Personally, I see no reason for polished nickel in a bath, when chrome is FOREVER, and abounds in every brand. ......and never creates a match issue either. Order a bath accessory from BOTH sources in polished nickel and test. : ) Even a towel ring or robe hook will tell the story of finish match in PN.

Polished Nickle in the right setting is a much better look then Polished Chrome. Polished Chrome is great for modern design, but Polished Nickle just gives you so much character. As far as matching, I personally do not think it is a big deal and usually the Polished Nickles do match across companies.

Unless you are going to be putting them next to eachother and dissecting them, there is really no major difference. Our polished stainless steels match polished nickel, chrome and no issues.
