Would the sectional fit on the wall where the TV is located? If not, you may need to get smaller furniture. I would put the dining table where the sectional is currently and get living room furniture to fit the space in the area near the window.

It would fit with the back against the side of the wall with the windows. I thought about that arrangement but then where would we mount the TV?

The couch sectional arm can be moved to either side if that helps.

If you move the sofa to the back wall, you could still mount the TV onto the wall either on left or right of sofa but get a deep swivel mount that can extend out and turn. When you ant to watch TV just swivel it out. When not watching adjust it back to flat position on wall.

I think we need another picture to understand the space. What is that white thing on the floor near the TV stand? Is there a walkway to another room there or only a corner? If you were to move the sectional to the wall across from the TV, how far would it stick out into the space towards the kitchen?

Chloe, take the time to draw out your own space on graph paper with all the jigs and jogs in your room. Complete all the measurements including locations of doors and windows. Note the dimensions on your graph paper. If you have a copy of the plan of your condo already, just insert the correct dimensions on the plan and post it here.

Measure your furniture, particularly your sectional and TV. Make small cut outs and move the furniture around in the space to see where you have room for the sectional. I think it will give you a better idea of the limitations you have with door access and walkways and the current size of your sectional.

For the best help, you can post a pic of the plan and see what others can do to solve the furnishing of your home. If you are able to return the sectional, you would be in better position to get a lovely room with a sofa and one or two chairs. There would be more options for your condo with the smaller apartment type furniture.

If you put the couch where the table is the room would make more sense. Why is the eating area farthest from the kitchen? Chances are the table isn't needed, often once the stools are there as said above. I have seen the coolest behind the couch tables that stretch into a dining table when needed. An area rug and window treatments would cozy the space up.

I will take measurements tonight and post them! It's a small urban condo though (816 square foot 2 bed 2 bath). My only hesitancy in moving the couch under the windows is the TV position.

What about mounting the tv on the wall by the kitchen and having no entertainment center? Then the dining room table could be centered under the windows.

Sure, you could put the TV there as long at the height is right. Put it on an articulating arm mount. Don't put it too high (common mistake). You want it eye level as you are seated.

I’m saying to put the long part of the sofa on the wall where the tv is now and have the chaise portion under the window. Then you could place the tv on the opposite wall.

The sofa is too long for that, unfortunately.

Sectional is large for the room, fortunately the chaise is reversible if we can find a good place for the sofa. Won't know until you post dimensions of the great room.
