We do like green as the counter is earthy tones but we already have a green DR that is through that doorway and we thought it might be too much.

What shade of green is the dining room? I was thinking a nice blue depending on the green color. BM jamestown blue, buxton blue or james river gray.

I think SW9122 Dried Edamame would look stunning in your kitchen, and bring out the deeper colors in your Cambria tops. A darker color would really enhance the color of your cabinets, too! (Just my humble opinion!)

I was afraid with going too dark but so far the 2 samples I brought home Valspar Desert Fortress was waaaayyyy to similar to the cabinets and light. Buxton blue is really pretty but I'm not sure it works/draws anything with the counters--although my hubby has mentioned Blue so I'll show him that idea. Hmmm, liking the Edamame idea...or one hue lighter (sawgrass basket)?? I'm afraid of too dark but perhaps a sample on the wall will help and just going for it...because what I've done in the past doesn't work well.

Have you found a backsplash you love (perhaps green or blue color)? And then pick similar wall color for the kitchen?

I don't have a backsplash yet but will keep that in mind. We think it might be something simple as our counters are already a bit busy.

I like how that Sandy ridge looks...also like a bit better if it is dark enough, Outerbanks on that same spectrum. Thoughts??/
