help with small loft seating space

This is the loft space and I am trying to figure out how to utilize it best for two chairs and a small table (perhaps big enough for a chess board). Any ideas appreciated. The bedroom is the master and I want a nice romantic area

Any photos of the area? Pretty small I'd say. What kind of railings or walls surround it?

We have a chessboard that we would like to incorporate in the space with two chairs. I wonder if there is a better use of space? The closets one is for the guests(rental cabin) and one is an owner lock out cabin however we can rework those if needed.

Can you move the closets to the right? (Or is that section open as well) if you could move them to the right, put a daybed across the wall where the closets now are. Then put a low table in front with your Chess board on it.

Am I am correct Reiki by Lori, this is a vacation cabin that is also a rental. The entire floor is the master bedroom. The closets are one for owner that will have a lock and unusable for the guest. ?

I'd be concerned putting any sitting area by the railing...children climb up and vanish to the floor below

If this is a rental cabin, I would do one of those ottomans that becomes a single bed, with an oversized armchair. A place that is good for reading. The chess idea is cute but I think a comfy chair with an extra place to sleep is more appealing to a larger number of people. If you can fit two armchairs with a table in between and one ottoman that’s great. But make sure the chairs are comfortable enough to spend some time in.

2 chairs that swivel to look out the window or at a small chess/card table between them and a small coffee bar for those quiet mornings. That says vacation to me

Consider building bench and/or chair seating into and as a part of your railing.

You could always add an additional chair.

If your chess board is wood, depending upon how it's made, you might consider adding legs to your chessboard and making it a table top. Instead of just buying legs, perhaps you could find a suitably sized small table at a used furniture shop that needs a new top anyway, it's worth considering.

Or if you could find one of the more solid wood folding tables and affix your chessboard to the top, that could make storing it when not in use easier.

Or if you could find a pedestal -- wood or metal -- that would be suitably sized for the board or a wood lamp base that could serve as a pedestal.

Or if you could find an old metal base for a pedal sewing machine on which it would fit.

Yes this is a luxury romantic retreat cabin. Adult only no pets. Sleeps 2. I love the swivel chair idea to see the view. I think I will put the chess board downstairs with two chairs at the windows to the back. It should be ready end of summer. Yippee!
