dump them out.. throw them around the yard.. curse at them ... kick them around a bit .... clean out the pot .... use all new potting media ... replant ...

while you have them out.. you could probably break off and pot a few little pieces to share with friends ...

just do it ... if you somehow kill them.. let us know how you did it ... i bet my shiny penny you cant ..

I did manage to kill a few of my hostas last year, but I think it was creatures digging them out of the pots I moved them to.

I have a big tall pot where the media compacted about as much as yours. I got my hands in there and lifted it up and put new media (I almost said dirt) underneath. We’ll see how it does this spring.

Well I am administering a bit of abuse to this hosta. When I dumped the planter over, the entire bottom came off in the process. So the poor hosta has been lying in the driveway since. I am running out today to buy two new planters. I’m so bummed as I really liked these.
