It's just that I have to be picky about flowers since my yard is so small, and I had no irises. New to me home. Irises don't bloom long enough for me and all my pallet is really deep/dark paired with flashy brights. Caesar would've fit that bill ;)

I would pair it with a butter yellow rose like, "Julia Child" and a perennial catmint, maybe, "Walker's Low". It's a beautiful iris, I think.

I'd pair it with something yellow/gold, too. The gold and purple would "pop" together. Donate them to a park or a neighbor and move on to your next idea if it's not working for you. You can gave visitation with it, without custody.

I ended up moving it to a slightly shadier spot and now it's a darker version. I agree yellow would like great with it. I have an apricot foxglove with it, and we all know that's only good one year or every other year. So I'll be looking at something like 'Julia Child' that would be a few feet over and less likely to be in much shade. The iris is just dipping its toe in the shade. I like both the white and yellow ideas. Probably what I'll end up with!
