My outdoor cats eat chipmunks (unless I can get to them and let the chipmunk escape), and the major problem is tape worm. I treat them at least three times over the summer some years, esp. the older cat.

IDK how much vermin he eats but he’s fed TotW kibble, which he eats enthusiastically. Worry a little bit about consequences of eating critters.

Does he actually eat them?? My hunter, when he was still allowed out on critter patrol - would catch just about anything. Bunnies, moles, shrews, pocket gophers, chipmunks, squirrels, garter snakes and a few birds (which I tried to discourage but......). However he would play with them and then bring them to show me what a wonderful hunter he was but never actually eat them. Sometimes a part or two might be missing but for the most part, all were intact.

I guess none were up to his picky dietary standards :-)

The one he killed last evening was near our back entrance, but not a trace of it this a.m. no blood, fur, nothing. So iDK what he really eats, again, no taste, ha

Yuk, double yuk, I found the victim. It was pretty much where DH saw the crime in progress.

I wonder if some other nighttime visitor had the squirrel snack? Raccoon? Possum? I think they will eat things like that, don't they? Maybe Kozmo is just a hired hand???

My cat ate half a squirrel once. She seemed none the worse later. I was surprised how much she had eaten.
