I buy art or other things I love and then find a place to hang them, not the other way around.

Would something like this work?

A mirror is used when there is something lovely for it to reflect/magnify. It's not just something to put on a wall to reflect another blank wall.

Yes the mirror shelf set up would work. Would also make sense if that is your in/out door there. Looks like you could also put some kind of console table if you wanted and use the mirror above or some art.

Not knowing what the room is or your style, I think a small table and some art/decor. Here's some ideas.

Lary, yes, I think something like the round mirror and shelf you posted would probably work, as it is sensible and practical to have a mirror next to the front door to give yourself a quick check-over when you go out. Anglophilia has a point about mirror placement, but the exceptions are always those places where mirrors are really useful, e.g. front hallways.

My own inclination would be to place a sizeable work of art there.

A picture showing context of the space in the room would be helpful, though.

A nice large piece of art and thats it.It will take your eye off the odd flooring placement.

How large? 30 x 30? 40x30?

Even larger?

About this large, I'd say. Do you agree, Patricia?
