It works fine. Put the glass under the water and ice. : ) The larger issue is how much refrigeration you require, and how much you want to pay for it.

Ice and water in the door are preference. I like a clean look....so it would be a no for me. I like bottled Fiji. No ice.

It's getting more and more difficult to even find a refrigerator without those danged things in the door. And they DO break, and young children play with them and they're ugly. I dread the day my beloved counter-depth KA side-by-side with nothing in the door, died. It is irreplaceable.

I like filtered water from my extra filtered water tap and I like a clean interrupted fridge door so an internal ice maker is easy enough to get ice.I also find all those watr dispenser useles for anything except a glass of water.
