Hello everyone I need some help identifying a weed/crop that has started popping up in my lawn. I've been staring at pictures on Google for hours now and can't find anything close to it. Backstory-I killed the lawn off last fall planted 90%KBG (30%Award/20%Midnight/20%Everest/20%Bewitched)10% Pangea GLR perennial rye. I made the mistake of using EZ straw and had wheat growing everywhere last fall now I'm afraid something else was in that garbage as well. I've found a few of what I can only describe as small soy bean looking seeds in the lawn on occasion and think they may be the culprit. The plant is extremely rubbery/waxy as I could wad it up in my hand and it would bounce back to its original shape. It also has no visible roots and the white part is solid with no smell to it. I have about 5 circular patches growing now that the soil temp has hit around 50 degrees. I did top dress lawn about a week prior with black kow compost so it may have come from that as well. Pulling it was futile since all the blades of the plant are independent of each other. I sprayed it with Tenacity today hoping that will do the trick before I reach deeper in my arsenal. The lawn looks great but its driving me absolutely bananas seeing this growing. Any help on identification/control of this weed/crop would be greatly appreciated.
