Gold or Silver? Wood or Glass?

Totally need help for our open floor plan living room!

We just bought this new house and haven't moved in yet. But we have bought:
an Ashley dark brown sectional sofa,
a Pottery Barn light blue moroccan/scroll tile rug,
a large mirrored clock (mirror + black antiqued iron) ,
two slim glass cabinets,
a black metal oversized floor lamp from Ikea

* the wall color is a barely-there blue-green

We also decided to buy extra throw pillows in light blue (same color as the rug) and a few other colors.

Now our dilemma is, with all the furnitures and wood tone, should we use gold or silver for things like picture frames and other decor?

And should we buy a wood coffee table or a glass one? if glass, then again gold or silver or whatever frame? or a glass top with wooden frame?
What about the TV stand? Dark wood?
Ottomans?

We want to create a "flow" in the open space, and want to lend the space a little contemporary/transitional feeling. What else should we do?

Please help, as this has given me such a headache!
Thanks!

1st picture: layout modeled (question marks indicating pieces we are struggling about)
2nd picture: actual products bought (upper-left is the actual fire place)
3rd picture: dining room and kitchen (we will add the same light-blue color as textiles throughout there later)
4th picture: floorplan
